The Big, Manipulative, Pervasive Lie

Death. We continually choose Death. Whenever we are given a choice between Life and Death, we choose Death.

So it’s no surprise we chose Death. Of course, that was the only choice our Masters gave us. No matter the outcome, the choice was Death.

The Masters must be so pleased; their plans have reached fruition in 2020. They have so divided us that we’re clamoring for Death, because Death is the only choice they’ve given us.

We had a choice between Life and Death in 2008 – we chose Death. We had a choice between Life and Death in 2012 – we chose Death. We had a choice between Life and Death in 2016 – we chose Death. We had the same choices in 2010, 2014, and 2018; Death, Death, Death.

Unless we choose Life. We had the opportunity, but so many of us have bought into their lie that it’s been made truth, so we always, inevitably, inexorably, choose Death…

OK, so that sounds overly dramatic, even if it is true; I wrote that right before the election and all the legitimate polls had Biden waltzing into the White House with almost all the Electoral College votes. Frankly, if I had to choose the biggest loser in this election, it’s the pollsters, hands down. Their prognostications were off far beyond the margin of error they admit to. But that’s not my point here.

For as long as I’ve been paying attention (which is a long time), we’ve been taken for a ride by a small group of people, divided between two extremes, who colluded with each other to limit the voting choices of the American people. Who were able to skirt the election laws by drawing up rules for campaigning that successfully excludes viable, qualified candidates who don’t fly their particular banners. For expediency, let’s call these groups of unelected power brokers the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Together, they created other committees to oversee the various campaigning for public office, including one to oversee Presidential debates. The rules they drew up were carefully crafted so that only Republican and Democratic candidates would qualify; they rely on polling data to determine who “qualifies” to participate in the debates. Yeah – pollsters…

And as this is happening, their operatives are selling the idea that voting 3rd-party is taking away votes from their angelic candidate and favoring the Demon from Hell running for the other side… Fear is a surprisingly effective tactic, when used on an electorate already trained to think in sound bites and magic one-pill cures.

As far as this election is concerned, though: to quote a favorite TV franchise, “Resistance is futile.” The lawsuits will fail (those that are actually filed, anyway), and not because of some vast conspiracy to commit voter fraud but because there is little or no actual evidence of voter fraud, and that’s because there wasn’t any. The recounts may make the final results closer (or not), but won’t change the outcome.

But in the public interest, the challenges should be investigated and adjudicated, to remove any doubt.

The cries of fraud when the lead changed in Pennsylvania were disingenuous at best; the ballots were counted according to the laws written by Republican lawmakers so that ballots received by mail prior to Election Day could not be counted until after the polls closed on November 3, and because of the pandemic the number of absentee and mail-in ballots were at an all-time high. Blame yourselves for that, Republicans, not the people you put in that position.

There could not have been fraud, not on the required scale, anyway, not with so many angry eyes from both sides watching. News crews were accused of sneaking in fake ballots, when all they were doing was unloading camera equipment… And the attempts at voter suppression – even using the widest, most inclusive definition of the term possible – could not keep a record number of voters from casting their ballots. Biden got 74 million votes, the most ever cast for the office. Trump’s numbers are somewhere around 70 million. That means more than 140 million eligible voters actually made the effort to vote, which is the highest percentage of eligible voters to actually vote in decades.

Whether or not you or I like it, it’s a virtual certainty that the outcome will be certified on the 20th, and Joe Biden will become President in January.

I’m not looking forward to it, or the four years that will follow. And speaking honestly, I wouldn’t be looking forward to another Trump term, either, or cleaning up after the riots that would have happened had he won.

But those were the choices our Masters gave us, so that we’d remain divided. They spread fear and anger to make sure we only heard about their choices for us. And, as I said before, because most people have bought into it, their lie has become truth and we remain divided. Despite the fact we actually do have the power to change things. We keep proving, again and again, that we’re just too afraid to.
